Finally, Gretchen Barretto speaks
up.
Ever since the so-called "kisscandal" involving Gretchen and John
Estrada came out early June of this year, she has kept her mouth shut
regarding the issue (Picture of them kissing at Ruffa Mae Quinto's
birthday celebration spread, courtesy of John Estrada's cellphone).
So, how is she now after all the controversies that she's been through
recently?
"I'm okay now," Greta says, smiling.
After a long time of not talking, what is it that she wants to
tell the public?
may hindi maganda, but that's life. You have to take the good with the
"Whatever you see, good or bad, that's the real me! So, ‘yun lang
If she has something to thank about, that's the continuous
understanding and love of her long time partner Tony Boy Cojuangco and
daughter Dominique.
You know, they still take me.
She has a story about Dominique's reaction nung height ng controversy
about the infamous kissing photo.
I said, ‘Dominique, let's live in the
States kasi, you know, here in the Philippines, every intrigue is like
blown out of proportion.'
"And she said, ‘Oh, it's okay mom, you know, you're just like the
Paris Hilton of the Philippines. At least, you didn't go to jail.
Hahaha!
"I had to share that, na marunong umunawa ‘yung anak ko. She loves me,
and I guess, marunong din akong humingi ng tawad pag nagkakamali ako,"
Gretchen proudly says.
How did Tony Boy understand her regarding this controversy?
"Well, like I said, very faithful siya sa akin in terms of pang-unawa,
kaibigan ko dahil siyempre, I'm older than most of them, di ba? I'm
older than Rufa Mae and Ruffa , and Nadia . Pero parati silang
nasisisi pag may nangyayari sa akin."
She once said, she's just waiting for the right time and she's going
to talk about this "kisscandal" Is it still on?
"Yes, I will! "I'd like to be able to really set myself free with the
truth and my version—no matter how people will take it—one of these
days hopefully..." sagot ni Greta.
Has she talked to John Estrada yet after "kisscandal" came out?
"I don't wanna comment about that," maiksi at seryosong sagot ni
Gretchen.
"I'm just starting to recover now. Kasi sabay-sabay, di ba? Hindi lang
‘yung intriga but also, nagkasakit pa si Tony and aalis nga kami ulit
next week for Boston for another surgery".
buhay?
"I really can't tell kung anong level. I just know na parang nauntog
talaga ako nang malakas! I realized a lot, marami akong natutunan,
marami akong gustong baguhin, and I know I need a lot of growing up to
do...
"Sometimes, I forget na 37 years old na ako and my childish ways are
still there.
Minsan, nakakalimutan natin
kung sino at ano tayo, di ba? Ganun talaga, e," ends Gretchen.
